The trip starts in Oviedo, crossing mountain landscapes and following the course of the Cares River. Along the way, you can take in views of the Picos de Europa and picturesque villages.
The first stop is Poncebos, the starting point of the funicular, offering views of the Cares River. You will take the funicular and enjoy an 8-minute subway journey to the only village in Asturias which can only be accessed on foot or by funicular.
After a guided tour of Bulnes, you'll have free time to stroll through its cobblestone streets, visit the hermitage of Nuestra Señora de las Nieves, taste the local gastronomy and admire the Picu Urriellu (Naranjo de Bulnes) from the viewpoint.
In the afternoon, visit the Cheese Cave in Arenas de Cabrales. Learn about the Cabrales cheese making process and enjoy a tasting accompanied by cider, a typical drink of the region.
