Embark on a 3-day Sahara Desert adventure to Chegaga from Agadir.
Day 1: Agadir – Ouarzazate – Zagora
Your desert journey begins with an early morning pick-up from your accommodation in Agadir. You’ll drive through the scenic High Atlas region, passing Taliouine, famous for saffron, and Taznakht before arriving in the historic village of Ait Ben Haddou for a guided visit to its iconic Ksar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy lunch in a traditional restaurant before continuing to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” to visit the Cinema Studios and the Taourirt Kasbah. The day ends with a drive to Zagora for a peaceful overnight stay in a guesthouse or hotel.
Day 2: Zagora – Tamgroute – Chegaga Dunes
After breakfast, head to Tamgroute to visit the ancient Koranic library, underground Kasbah, and traditional pottery workshops. Crossing the Draa Valley and its palm groves, you'll stop for lunch in the dunes of Erg Lihoudi. You’ll have the option to enjoy a camel ride before venturing off-road through 64km of wild desert to reach the majestic Chegaga dunes (300m high). Spend the night in a Berber desert camp under the stars with dinner included.
Day 3: Chegaga – Lake Iriki – Agadir
After breakfast, cross the dry Lake Iriki by off-road track to reach Foum Zguid. From there, travel through Taznakht with a stop at a Berber carpet cooperative. After lunch in Taliouine, return to Agadir, arriving by evening after a true Sahara adventure.
