Konavle valley's distinctive culture and cuisine are revealed in all their glory during this half-day tour. You'll sample locally grown wines at family-run vineyards, ride a train from village to village and tuck into some traditional food, all in the scenic surroundings of the Konavle valley. Antun, one of our local guides, says, ‘Dubrovačka Malvasija is the renowned grape variety unique to this region. Local winemakers managed to save the species, even though there were only three healthy vines remaining in the post-war period.'Located near the border with Montenegro, between mountains and the Adriatic Sea, the valley is a sun-drenched countryside escape from Dubrovnik. You'll arrive in the village of Zastolje to visit the historic Brajković winery, then it's all aboard to ride to Ljuta by train. Here, you'll see how the 500-year-old Đivanović water mill had dual purposes – since medieval times it was used to produce flour and process wool into fabric.After this visit, we'll continue to a different vineyard and wine cellar for more tasting. You'll sample some local culture when you try a typical ploughman's lunch, just as the farmers would eat during a hard day in the fields. The final stop is a third winery. Antun says, ‘You'll relish a cold glass of Konavle rosé alongside a slice of typical pandišpanj sponge cake at this vineyard. Pandišpanj is traditionally made for special occasions, like this tour, when we welcome our guests to our beautiful Konavle valley.'

Det finns en stark hantverkstradition i området och städerna är kända för sin fina arkitektur.Efter en bilfärd längs den dalmatiska kusten går du ombord på din båt och sätter segel mot det smala sundet Verige, där hela bukten öppnar sig, och du kommer att se varför Kotorbukten är Montenegros mest berömda resmål. Efter att ha passerat Perast, Stoliv och Prčanj är det första stoppet den sagolika ön Gospa od Škrpjela, en plats som Ivana älskar. ”Av alla museer i regionen är det på holmen det jag helst guidar”, säger hon. ”Kyrkan är som ett konstgalleri och museet innehåller pärlor som Jacinta Kunić-broderiet.Tillbaka ombord äter vi en god lunch ombord på väg till Kotor stad. Här har du ledig tid att utforska denna befästa medeltida pärla full av venetianska palats. Blå grottan på kvällen

Du samlas vid kajen för en kort säkerhetsgenomgång innan du ger dig ut på ett kvällsäventyr som tar dig till öns berömda grottor som omsorgsfullt har formats av havet under tusentals år. Den lokala guiden Mia säger: ”Jag älskar att fråga gästerna vilken grotta som är deras favorit, eftersom de är så olika. De gröna grottorna känns uppfriskande och fulla av liv, medan den blå grottan har en mer mystisk känsla.”Efter en kryssning över Adriatiska havets lugna vatten närmar du dig de mindre kända men helt magiska tre gröna grottorna, som kärleksfullt kallas ”de tre systrarna”. Kaptenen kastar ankar och ger dig ungefär en halvtimme att simma runt och utforska. För att se de smaragdgröna reflektioner som gett grottorna deras namn, bege dig till den största gröna grottan. Och om du känner dig äventyrlig kan du simma genom den smala passagen i Canyon Cave för att se ljuset och skuggorna dansa på klippväggarna.Hoppa tillbaka ombord, där det finns gott om läsk, öl och vin, och bege dig till södra delen av ön och den berömda Blå grottan. Mia tillägger: ”I kvällsljuset får tunnlarna och grottorna en helt ny dimension av skönhet.” Du har tid att njuta av den fridfulla atmosfären och de livfulla blå färgerna när du ligger förtöjd här i cirka 30 minuter. Sedan är det tillbaka till båten för några drinkar och lite musik medan du återvänder till kajen med en ny uppskattning för naturens mästerverk.

Kasta loss från Lapadskaa Obala för en halvdagsutflykt runt Elaphiteöarna. Du färdas på en leut, en traditionell fiskebåt i trä, med din kapten, en äkta lokalbo som känner till varje gömd vik och hemlig plats i dessa vatten som sin egen ficka. Han säger: ”Elaphiteöarna är fulla av gömda skatter och jag känner till varenda vrå.”Medan du glider fram över Adriatiska havet kan du luta dig tillbaka med ett glas vin, en kall öl eller en läskedryck och segla mot ditt första stopp - Kolocep-bukten. Där finns det tid att svalka sig med ett dopp i havet innan vi åker till Sunj Beach, känd för sin mjuka gyllene sand och sitt lugna grunda vatten - perfekt för lite solbad eller ett dopp om du känner för det. Längs vägen kommer du att upptäcka undangömda vikar och hemliga platser som bara lokalbefolkningen känner till.Ditt sista stopp är Blå grottan, ett naturligt underverk som är uthugget i kalkstensklipporna på ön Kolcep. Ingången är låg och smal och har formats under tusentals år av vågornas brus. Men när du väl är inne öppnar den sig till en glödande kammare med blått ljus. Solljuset filtreras genom en undervattensöppning, reflekteras av den vita havsbotten och badar grottan i ett utomjordiskt sken - en surrealistisk badplats för att avrunda dagen.
