Your journey begins with a 1-hour scenic bus ride from Québec City to Berthier-sur-Mer Marina. From there, you'll embark on a 6-hour cruise and visit experience to Grosse-Île, a significant immigration station active from 1832 to 1937. As you sail along the St. Lawrence River, the Lachance Captains will share their knowledge of maritime heritage and immigrant stories, setting the stage for your island exploration.

Upon arrival, Parks Canada guides will lead you through the island's preserved buildings and landscapes. You'll visit key sites like the quarantine station, Celtic Cross, and Irish Memorial, gaining insight into the immigrant experience through immersive exhibits. Boarding will start approximately 30 minutes before departure time at Chouinard Pier. Before boarding, please visit the ticket booth (located right next to the boat at Chouinard Pier) to exchange your voucher (electronic or physical) for your cruise ticket. Don’t forget to bring a photo ID. Paid parking is available at Chouinard Pier or nearby, such as at SPAQ Canotiers parking (40 Dalhousie Street, Québec, QC G1K 4B2).
