The Similan Islands are untouched jewels in the Andaman Sea and they're what dreams are made of – coral reefs, hideaway beaches and tropical rainforests. You'll take a speed catamaran over first thing to spend the day island hopping, snorkelling and swimming.

Your journey kicks off from Khao Lak, slicing through the ocean with the wind as your soundtrack, as you head straight for the Similan Islands National Marine Park. With the crowds at bay, you'll first dock into Donald Duck Bay. Chill out on the snow-white sandy beach or take the opportunity to climb up Sail Rock for panoramic views.

Then, it's onto Honeymoon Bay. It's snorkel central here, where you can meet everything from cheeky clownfish to majestic manta rays – not to mention the vibrant coral scene. Chill, unwind, and soak up the sun, before heading back on board for a freshly-prepared buffet lunch. "Enjoy one final snorkel or sunbathe session before we make our way back. Get ready for an adventure that flips the script on your average day trip.

Great experience overall, worth doing. Few points to note: the catamaran crossing is quite rough, and 3 people were sick on our trip. The staff are well prepared for it though. It was advertised as beating the rush but was still busy, even though we were picked up at 5.40am.

Simply amazing trip. 6am pickup from hotel to boat. Breakfast at the pier so don’t worry about ordering a breakfast box at your hotel. 1.5 hrs across 65km of ocean was super fast :) Islands are amazing, the water is out of a movie almost. Snorkelling was awesome and saw loads of fish and a turtle came to swim with us which was magical. The staff on the boat looking after us were brilliant. This is a must do trip! 11/10

I cannot rate this trip enough! The islands are fantastic and the guide and crew were fabulous! There was constant drinks available and we were fed breakfast, snack, lunch and snacks when we got back. The snorkelling is insane, the wildlife was even better. We saw basically the whole cast of Finding Nemo (minus Bruce luckily!) with a guest appearance from Crush ?? ?? we also saw flying foxes and a large monitor lizard just mooching. I will never forget this day!!

The trip was amazing, breakfast on arrival as the pier, a quick safety chat and then we got loaded onto the boat. The islands and water are breathtaking. Yes it gets busy but it was pretty quiet when we went so I would recommend the early bird as it was started to get busy when we were leaving.
