More than 360 stalls cram into Teguise's pretty plaza and cobbled streets on market day. So, shoppers will be spoilt for choice with this half-day trip to the island's most popular Sunday market. Expect tables creaking with local foodstuffs, jewellery, paintings and handicrafts. What's more, it's all given a carnival atmosphere by Canarian dancers, hair braiders and panpipe bands.

Lovely morning trip to the market, guide gave an interesting commentary on the way. We had 3 hours of free time at the market, it was enough time to see everything. Market was very big and busy, a lot of repeat stalls but still very good.

You get a booking reference with just 'bus stop losing zocos side' on it, no directions or map & when you ask on the TUI hotel Suneo they tell you they don't know as you didn't book with the hotel (which was 24€ cheaper!) even though you booked with TUI. Found a hotel called los zocos 15 minutes walk away, went there and thankfully the bus driver who was neither on the bus stop or same road side came & got is. The English guided tour was mainly in french as there were more french ppl on the bus.

The market itself is a busy vibrant area in I imagine a quiet village. The scenery and buildings beyond the market were very pleasant and the restaurants were very well stocked. A visit to the church is well prepared for tourists. The market itself was mainly selling goods that were available elsewhere on Lanzarote. What made a unique situation more comfortable that the was low cloud and drizzle while shopping.

The email with pick up point was confusing - said pick up at a telephone kiosk that didn’t exist. I queried but tui never answered me properly. Said they would but didn’t. Anyway worked it out but the bus that arrived wasn’t a you bus and the guide initially told us we weren’t on it. Just before they pulled away she rechecked her list. And we were on it. Nit the best as we nearly were left behind. After that the trip itself was great
