The Silfra Fissure is one of Iceland's most desirable snorkeling spots. Located in the heart of Thingvellir National Park, this narrow channel of blue water meandering through a giant lava field does not look like much on the surface. But below, supernatural shades of blue, perfect visibility, and incredible rock formations make up a magical sub-aquatic paradise. Enjoy a great snorkeling experience as you drift peacefully in the comfort of a warmly insulated drysuit accompanied by our highly skilled guides. Silfra, frequently rated as one of the worlds top ten dive sites, is located between the tectonic plates of Europe and America. With up to 100 meters of underwater visibility, Silfra is truly a mesmerizing site, not to be missed by any snorkeler, experienced or not.

Absolutely incredible, it felt like a once in a lifetime experience. The water was so clear and the guide took photographs of each of us that we were given for free. Our instructor was amazing. We recieved free hot chocolate and biscuits to finish. We also remained dry, and clear instructions were provided with 2 guides available to assist whenever needed.

Excellent experience, picked up on time outside our hotel. Scenic journey to location. All kit provided but a little cold changing in the elements. Very good guide/instructor called Ioannis (John). He fully briefed us and supported us along the way, also taking photos which are free to download afterwards. Very enjoyable and would recommend.

Trip was outsourced to 'Arctic Adventure's so the review is for them not TUI ... indeed, the TUI rep was of no use guiding us to the correct transport, and we could have saved money by booking direct. Artic Adventures were brilliant, we had a geologist driving the bus who was full of info and entertaining. Our snorkelling guide was Mino, looked after our small group perfectly. Thoroughly recommend booking this tour, but go direct.

Would be better if there was somewhere other than oursite to change into the dry suit. But it didn't ruin the experience. Really unique experience and beautiful to visit. Would highly reccomend to anyone.
