Charlottetown walking guided tour

Your walking tour of Charlottetown starts on the city’s waterfront at Confederation Landing. Then, you will progress up Great George St. which is known for the evolution of architecture displayed here with its preserved Georgian architecture on one side of the street and Gothic Revival architecture on the other side.

You will pass by the Bishops Palace and the Basilica Cathedral, which is considered to be the defining silhouette of Charlottetown. Continuing onward, you will stroll the grounds of Province House - also known as the birthplace of Confederation, before heading over to Victoria Row. This area is well known for its daily live entertainment, local artists, artisan shops, cafés and farm-to-table restaurants.

You will continue onward to view the Confederation Centre of the Arts, where the famous Anne of Green Gables play has been running for over 50 years. You will then continue to pass multiple points of interest including: Confederation Court Mall, City Hall and Rochford Square before heading over to the Prince Edward Island government buildings.

Here you will visit the Beaconsfield Historic House and the Government House of Prince Edward Island - which today serves as the home of the Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Island.

You then head back toward the starting point by following the Victoria Boardwalk. Along the way, you will pass by the Culinary Institute of Canada, the Queen Charlotte Armoury, the PEI Convention Centre, arriving back at Confederation Landing.
