Your experience begins at Trajan’s Column before continuing along Via dei Fori Imperiali, a historic avenue offering wide views over the Roman Forum, once the political and commercial centre of the Roman Empire. As you walk, your English-speaking guide will share stories about Roman politics, religion, and daily life while pointing out temples, arches, and monuments that shaped the ancient city.

You’ll then reach the Colosseum and enter the famous amphitheatre during the quieter evening hours. Inside, your guide will explain how the monument was built, how it evolved over time, and the spectacles that once entertained thousands of spectators.

When booking, you can choose between Regular access to the Colosseum, available as a semi-private experience, or Arena Floor access, which allows you to step onto the reconstructed arena level where gladiators once fought.

Meet on the platform directly in front of Trajan's Column located on Via dei Fori Imperiali next to Piazza Venezia. When standing right in front and facing the Victor Emmanuel II Monument (a.k.a. the "Wedding Cake"), it's directly to the left across the street. Your tour coordinator will be waiting there wearing a City Wondersblue polo shirt (in summer) or a blue jacket (winter). Please be there 15 minutes before departure.
