Meet your professional geology guide at the stairs between the parking area and the Visitor Centre of El Torcal Alto, the starting point of this fascinating circular route. From there, set off to explore the heart of El Torcal de Antequera, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Europe’s most spectacular karst landscapes.
During your guided walk, you’ll visit the park’s most iconic formations, including El Tornillo, The Hat (also called The UFO), The Labyrinth, The Amphitheatre, and the rare Montpellier Maple, the only specimen of its kind in Andalusia. Your expert guide will explain how the forces of the sea, wind, and rain have shaped this otherworldly scenery over millions of years, and will share stories about its geology, wildlife, and cultural history.
Halfway through the trail, you’ll enjoy a short break at The Labyrinth to relax and have your own snack surrounded by the park’s incredible rock formations.
The experience ends at the Visitor Centre, where you can admire the view and reflect on this unforgettable journey through time, nature and stone.
